Wise Man Flows Like a river

“A man of wisdom uses his wits like a flowing river, never stagnating.” These words sent to me by an acquaintance reminded me, “to live your live the way you want to, with grace.” Although I’ve encountered many obstacles up to this point, they have certainly never stopped me.
I don’t like to be compared with others and don’t want to be pushed around by others. If I were a river that flowed unimpededly like the words suggest, I would like to be a river that moves forward into the ocean, polishing the rocks along its banks and nurturing the trees along the way. And I want to continue to be a person able to enjoy this while making full use of my talents.
智者楽水
「智慧のある人は川が流れるように才知を働かせ滞ることはない。」
”望む道をたおやかに生きる君を思い出させる。”と知人が送ってくれた言葉。ここまで数々の障害に遭遇はしたものの、たしかに立ち止まることはなかった気がする。
僕は『自分の人生だから』という気持ちが強く、他と比較したりされることは好まないし、誰かに振り回されたりしない人間でありたいと思う。もし僕がこの言葉のように滞ることなく流れる川ならば、その流れの道すがら、川岸の岩石を磨き、木樹を育みながら、大海へ進んで生きゆく川でありたい。そして自分の才覚を存分に活かしながら、それを楽しめる人であり続けたい。
